SFFD Retired Firefighters Open Letter

In 2021, 66 retired SFFD Chiefs, Captains, Lieutenants and Firefighters penned this Open Letter regarding AWSS and post-earthquake firefighting water supply infrastructure expansion in San Francisco's unprotected neighborhoods (over half of the city and city residents).

Because so little has changed in five years since that letter was published, our current sign-on letter endeavors to highlight what the firefighters brought to light in their letter, to endorse the conclusions of the firefighters and to support and reissue their call for expanding AWSS and post-earthquake firefighting water supply infrastructure into the unprotected half of the city that lacks AWSS still today.
